Behavior Interventionists of Puget Sound (BIPS) provides Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioral needs. BIPS has a small group of trained staff that will work closely with you, your child, and your family to provide ongoing support and individualized care plans that are tailored to meet the needs of your child in your home, community, and school.

Using both Naturalistic methods and Discrete Trial instructions, sessions are designed to fascinate and challenge your child. Our mission is to utilize evidence-based intervention using ABA principles designed to improve the quality of life of clients. Treatment is catered for each individual to ensure we assist in joining the current progress with that of a typical trajectory. We have created a process of procedures that are designed to care for our clients and their family.


We encourage the client’s family members and other caregivers to become proficient in utilizing behavioral techniques. We minimize deficits by increasing skill acquisition and provided opportunities for replacement behaviors. Our goal is to remove excess challenging behaviors that inhibit optimal development which optimizes your child’s performance to allow for a more meaningful social interactions in regular daily settings. Get to Know Me

Michael “Mikey” Hayes has completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the San Francisco State University. Additionally, Mikey received his Master’s in Developmental Psychology at the San Francisco State University, and completed his BCBA courses at The Chicago School of Psychology. Mikey has worked with children of all abilities for the past ten years, specifically working with children with autism and other developmental disorders with behavioral challenges. Mikey has worked as a home-based behavioral therapist, overseen home-based programs, designed training protocols for ABA therapists and supervisors, and consulted with families and schools. His interests include functional communication and improving parent programming. For fun, Mikey enjoys gymnastics, learning languages, and traveling.

Mia has been working with BIPS since August of 2019 and is currently taking classes towards her Bachelors in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Outside of work, Mia loves baking, crafting, and rock climbing.
